Mu Sigma Upsilon Sorority, Inc.

National History 

 

Mu Sigma Upsilon Sorority Inc. was founded on 1981 at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, as the FIRST multicultural Greek-lettered organization, celebrating the abundance of cultures that comprise our sorority for the last 30 years. The founders were five women determined to establish an organization that brought together women of all backgrounds. It was their limitless vision that enabled these determined women to break down the barriers and build the bridges that connected women from all different walks of life. Hence our motto: "Mujeres Siempre Unidas"

 

 

Chapter History

 

The Miakardia Chapter of Mu Sigma Upsilon Sorority, Incorporated was founded on November 10, 2012 at Bucknell University. The Founding Sisters recognized that Mu Sigma Upsilon Sorority, Incorporated embodied the change they wanted to see at Bucknell. For this reason, the Miakardia chapter was born, giving fierce and independent women the means to form a strong bond of sisterhood.
